Mercedes-Benz puts more focus on customers

9th April 2014

2013 was the best ever year for Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicles in the UK, with 30,257 vans and 9,500 trucks registered to beat the previous records set in 2007 and 2005 respectively.

Mercedes-Benz not only hopes to continue this success in 2014, but to accelerate it, by putting a greater focus on customers and the markets they serve.

For example, Mercedes-Benz Vans – headed up by Managing Director Steve Bridge – now encompasses the entire customer journey under one roof, from Product to Sales to Customer Service, which itself comprises the entire aftersales offering from finance to parts to Service24h.

“It made sense to bring all of the functions together to work side-by-side with a single focus,” Steve Bridge explained, “and with a new management team, new tariff-led pricing and new customer service options, Mercedes-Benz Vans in the UK is set to continue the record-breaking trend.”

Similarly, the New Mercedes-Benz Truck division – headed by Managing Director Michael Kamper – also now encompasses all areas of customer experience, including new vehicle sales, used re-marketing, product marketing, finance, customer services and parts as well as Service 24h emergency breakdown support.

Michael commented:  “By virtue of having launched new Actros in both Euro V and Euro VI, in 2011, no other truck manufacturer has anywhere near the experience and positive track record in the field of Euro VI technology”.

“With over 1,200 Euro VI vehicles already sold in the UK and a further 22,500 Euro VI operating throughout Europe, we’ve singled ourselves out from other manufacturers and offer a far more compelling package, not only for our products but for our customer services offerings too.”
