Digger 39 has a new van from Euro Commercials!
Digger 39 was established in 2012 by Craig Bellamy and Mathew McCarthy. Euro Commercials are proud to be able to supply Digger 39 with a brand new Mercedes-Benz Vito - an organisation with such ambition and charitable intentions.
Mathew has worked with plant equipment and machinery both in the UK and Sierra Leone for over 12 years!
Craig, well known for his career in football, visited Mathew in the West African country in 2007 and was deeply struck by the country's state of disrepair. Witnessing the devastation himself, not just to the land but also to the people, Craig wanted to help. With the support of UNICEF, the Craig Bellamy Foundation Youth Development was established in 2009 offering local children education and hope for the future. The Academy was formed as a progression of the League, again providing scholarships to schools and inviting the best young footballers in the country to attend. Through these schemes, Craig has now donated over one million pounds of his own money to projects in Sierra Leone.
Since returning home to Wales, Craig was looking for a new venture and having appreciated the work Mathew had done, the pair joined forced and created Digger 39 donating 10% of their profits to the Craig Bellamy Foundation to continue supporting the children of Sierra Leone.
