57% of vans on the road are white, survey finds
12th December 2012
White remains by far the most popular colour for vans in Britain.
There were almost 1.9 million white vans on the roads last year – 57% of the light
commercial vehicle parc – a survey by Direct Line for Business has found. It was the same percentage as in 2002, when there were 1.4 million white vans in operation.
Blue vans remained the second most popular (11%) ahead of silver vans which have surged from 2% to 10% in the last decade. The proportion of red vans in service has fallen from 12% to 7% since 2002.
