Mercedes-Benz Vans joins tyre safety group

One of the first collaborative activities between the two organisations will see TyreSafe presenting at the 2011 Mercedes-Benz Van Experience.
The annual event, which was established in 2003, has become one of the highlights in the van industry calendar. This year’s experience will run from 20th June to 1st July at the Prodrive test track in Warwickshire, where guests will be able to experience a wide range of safety-related technologies and programmes.
“Having Mercedes-Benz Vans join TyreSafe as a member is fantastic news for us and the wider commercial vehicle industry,” says Stuart Jackson, the chairman of TyreSafe. “We look forward to their input and working with closely with them on future programmes.”
TyreSafe has a dedicated van tyre safety section on its website, www.tyresafe.org. It includes a selection of useful tips and guides, as well as a free downloadable safety leaflet.
